History
Artist & Inventor David Kam created the first Smart Drink in 1994, which he dubbed the E=MC² Think Drink, after his parents sent him down to Chinatown in Montreal to buy ginseng. When David arrived at the small herbal shop, to his surprise his friends were also there to buy ginseng. In fact there was a small line-up of people buying ginseng; not only Chinese people were buying the "root of life", but also local Canadians and tourists. Film crews making movies nearby were also buying loads of this stuff in small vials to keep up their energy for all-night shoots.
Ginseng root is used to make a traditional Chinese energy soup that is brewed for up to 5 hours; this soup is said to build up your immunity system for your overall health, provide you with more energy, is a mild aphrodisiac, and minimizes your risk for catching the flu/cold or other microbes.
David started talking to his friends in line and they were all complaining they had to drink this bitter ginseng soup. People were saying ginseng tasted awful, but it was good for your health.
